Yes, the HH will go back into the stuff sack, or snake skins...which ever one is used.

    I should have added...

Tim had the mod 2 on both his HH's, and when we came out with the mod 4, he asked me to changed both to the mod 4. One of his hammocks started with the mod 1...then remodded to the mod 2, and now has the mod 4!!

That is a very good recommendation. I read the post wrong about the cost.

    Danny,

The hammock I was using at the Texas Hang is a HH with the Mod 2.

At the time I had it done, Mod 4 was not available and up until now I have been quite satisfied with the Mod 2. Given the way that I hang, I think I would prefer the 4 if I were to do it now, but again, the 2 works well. (no regrets at all, I just like the new shiny model I don't have yet.)

You will be pleased with either one. You will also find that the service and quality of work from Tim and Donna will be worth every penny.

Flip a coin, mail it to them, and don't look back.

    Mod2

I just got mod 2 done, hung it in my family room yesterday to check it out, exactly how I wanted it. Quality stitching is excellent, and since I never really plan on going anywhere without the bug netting, it's out of the way enough for me to barely realize it's even hanging there if I just want to lounge or sit in it. It definitely does not get in the way of the snakeskins, either. I'm really happy I got it since it saves me the $ from having to buy the new zip model . I had considered the mod4 option, but for the extra money it wasn't worth it to me. This does just enough and the price was right.

Mod 2's rule in my bags.

Lost count on how many I've bought with them already installed (our Troop is nearly half migrated to Elevated status), but I've had 4 sent to 2QZQ and done personally (they have 2 from me now ).

    • Stitching is top knotch.
    • Stress points are properly planned for.
    • zipper run end points meet and tuck for best bug seal (I'm from the swamp ).
    • Zipper pulls are way smaller than the Chinese versions coming on the new zippered models from HH.
    • Less added weight than mod 4 with same open area.
    • both sides can still be zippered with 3 pulls for quilt/tubing access.

I've never experienced restriction in which side I enter from. I prefer long zipper right which allows the bundled net to be secured on the side opposite my feet when on diagnal- less chance of a net snag on the feet while sneaking for a nooner...

Ridgeline stashes, snakeskins, Gear hangers, peak bags and all the like are very affordable and can be shipped with your mod for little to no extra shipping. Stock up on the assesories while you are ordering from them (just in case you pull my name in the Secret Santa thread)

Hey Dona and Tim, you guys ROCK!!
