I am shipping a custom order to Australia, and thought some would like to see a 1/2" soft shackle. The grey one in the middle is 1/8", for size comparison.

Lookin' good, Opie! I see you've got what looks like a locked brummel at the base of the lanyard knot. Do you have any data on how the loop being on the brummel affects things (if at all)? I seem to recall reading an arborist article that that was why the industry began moving towards having larger eyes on tree slings, to prevent cinching the cow or timber hitch up on the brummel.

Puck, I start the knot at the base if the Brummel, its actually only half if a Brummel. By the time I get it set, the base if the knot is about 1.5" from the Brummel. So the loop is pulling on two strands just past the Brummel and below the base of the knot.
I don't have anything that suggests loading at the Brummel is detrimental.
