Hello all!

Last weekend I was out in my HH asym UL and it got to just below freezing. My top 20deg top quilt kept the top of me more than warm, but the simple foam pad that is part of the HH "winter" system didn't do much to keep the material of the hammock from feeling cold to the touch. An odd sensation none the less, my back losing heat and a really warm top side...

So this made me think, the foam doesn't seem to be doing enough (or anything?), but would something like cut of Insul-brite, or Insul Fleece, this reflective ripstop, http://www.diygearsupply.com/cgi-bin/shelf.cgi?numb=65 , or? as a simple blanket I could lay on top of help insulate me from the cold touch of the hammock material?

Also, does anyone know what either of those materials ways per sqft?

thoughts as I work towards figuring out my winter UQ'ing system...

thanks!
