I don't remember seeing a DIY 2 person hammock. The limitation seems to be finding fabric wide enough for 2 people. You could sew 2 pieces together but seams in the body of a hammock can make a weak spots for rips and tears to start.
If it were me, I would look at buying something like a Ticket To The Moon, ENO, or Trek Light double hammock. You can get one of them from around $45 plus shipping.

I'll second that. If you look at the TTTM hammocks, they have a 'King Size' model even larger than the double. That's probably worth checking out. I haven't seen on reviewed here yet, so you could be the first!Originally Posted by headchange4u

Just a word to the wise; I have a hammock bliss two person hammock, and although it is quite comfortable for one, I have not been able to make two adults in one hammock work. YMMV
Laying in opposite directions helps.

In all seriousness, I can't sleep comfortably in a double hammock with my 6 year old son. I wouldn't even think of attempting to sleep in a hammock with another adult.
