that looks really cool. I loved how the chocolate sauce fell right off the shoe.
Beyond the environmental / health concerns - always a reasonable issue to think about when you're talking about nanoparticles, there is also a durability question. How well will this stuff hold up under real world use? A waterproof coating for my shoes that only lasts a week doesn't do me much good.
Looks like the stuff is a form of Teflon coating. If it is then I don't think it would be breathable at all. I think the stuff is environment friendly as Teflon can be but the method of dispersal will be what is in question. Aerosol spray or compressed air. Seems like a great idea for tarps without adding much weight.

Bugs: You don't need me to make you look like a fool.
Yosemite Sam: Yer deerrrnnn right I don't!
I got it I got it! Spray the bottom of your shoes and you'll float right off the Earth!!
Does anyone know what the temp range is on it? Does it break down at high/low temps?
SUSPENDO LIBERTAS
A video on their website www. neverwet .com had mention of leaving a neverwet product in saltwater for a year.
I wonder how this treatment would affect breathability of the fabrics and if the coating could be applied to silnylon tarp to give it better water shedding capabilities. What would be the weight of an effective coating?
The website stated that the products would be available mid 2012. Can't wait!
Man, this stuff could be awesome if it still breathes. imagine shoes that don't breath. ewwww.
