Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

Maybe one of you guys can tell me how to find Commisioners Rock? I've found Ellicott Rock and the Tri-State border stamped into the top of the boulder in the river, but CR eluded me.

Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.
    Pursuing it with eager feet
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."

If you are facing Ellicott Rock, 10-15 feet to your right, about waist high is the Commissioner's Rock. I will say that I did not see it at first either but then I want to say either Hooch or Carolinasbackpacker found it. You really have to be looking for it.

ellicott's is N 35.00.081 W83.06.519and comish is 35.00.079. W83.06.526. I took these points with the gps touching the markers so I know they are correct but Muskrat is correct, if you are facing Ellicott's it will be about 10 to 15 ft to your right

I'm drawn to the open country. Its where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there I always return with something new.

Just to be clear, to the right would be downstream, back towards the south. I think I searched upstream from ER because the tri-state border rock was upstream and I figured it would be between the other two. Explains why I couldn't find it though, thanks!
