I had my heart surgically removed. It just caused too much pain and discomfort over the years.
At least I don't have to stay up at night listening to it anymore.
    Trust nobody!

hmm, you hearing voices too Dutch?
Voices from tiny metal objects telling you to do things?

Not to worry, this is a fairly normal consequence of combining too much time
working with tiny plastic objects, and tiny metal objects. In your psyche the Dutch flyz are jealous, wanting all of your time and attention.

Dr. Grizz recommends you stick to plastic parts and stay away from metal bits, especially titanium. Known to have a corrosive effect on the brain, when handled in quantity. Recent studies among long distance hikers suffering from these symptoms has led to the informal classification of "Mad Backpackers", those who are suffering from Ressler's disease.

I used to have very high blood pressure and I could hear my pulse all the time. In the hammock it was enough to slightly move me around a little and I could hear my beard stubble or sideburns bend and scratch against the fabric.

That has got to be the best feeling. Peace AND quiet at the same time. Complete relaxation and yes, as said before, ZEN. That's the best word for it.
Due to my job, I sleep during day with earplugs and a mask. I always fall asleep hearing my breathing, but hardly my heartbeat.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Sometimes I hear vibrations in the fabric of my hammock like a speaker cone. Once I hung in the basement from the floor joist immediately below our refrigerator and kept hearing the compressor resonating through the suspension like a tin can phone you make when you're a kid.

So a hammock can act like big passive resonator.

I am amazed at the number of people who have NEVER heard their heart beat like this. I love the silence of the piney woods that lets me reconnect to this foundational rhythm of life.

    And then there's this:

Have always heard mine, even when I was young and quite fit.
