Newbie with tree hugger knot question

I just received my HH today and plan in the upcoming season to do some sleuth camping while fishing out-of-the-way places. I have watched a YouTube video of the HH lashing knot and of course know several knots from my camping and fishing experience. My question is - why not just use a bowline to attach the ridgeline of the HH to the tree wraps? It won't slip, is fairly easy to adjust for tension, and is easy to undo. Thanks in advance for your ideas.

A bowline is usually easy to undo, but can be a pain once you have it under full load for the whole night. Not impossible, but difficult. The only thing wrong with the HH lashing knot is the time it takes to do and undo, otherwise it's a pretty good solution. Do a search for ring buckle system on this site. Doesn't weigh much, easy to adjust and most important, easy to undo.
