I agree that you have the right to refuse a trailname if you so wish...some people have different ideas as to what is appropriate or funny...in the end, it is up to you...

Or maybe its something that happened to your, or you did. ie I got mine because I did a three day trip with a broken collar bone, and on the last day, my shoulder was really hurting, I refused to let anyone take any gear from me, so apperaltly I as stubberon as a Bulldog. There was also a guy FreeFall, who hiked last year. At Walsisi YI he fell from the top bunk in the hostel, hence FreeFall. There was also Wind Chaser, who apperently chased after his tarp ontop of max patch. Even our own Coffee (yes HE Im talking about you) who so loves his Coffee (Ill let him tell the story =).

On the hike up to the spring hang I ate a lot of Odwalla bars the first couple days (like 5 each day).

Turns out they contain a fair amount of Flax Seed................ If anyone wants details on any of the privies between SNP and Harpers Ferry, I'm the guy to ask!

This prompted Pan and Smee to start coming up with possible trail names........ There were a bunch........ my personal favorites were Purge and Perk (short for percolator)... I wonder if any will stick.

Under no circumstances take "Uncle Sam" cereal on the trail. Talk about purging....

I am thinking of the name given to the white man on a movie, it was Two Dogs %^(%*$ if you remember. Have you ever seen the movie, hugh, No Name?
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.

My wife and daughter call me a dork all the time but luckily it has not stuck as a nick name, and Studmuffin is just not manly enough.

A number of years ago I went on a horseback trip into the Wind River Range in Wyoming as a "thank you" from the Northern Arapahoe tribe for some financing assistance I provided to them. They gave me the biggest horse I have ever seen and it was a tad challenging stretching up to the stirrup. Fairly quickly I determined it was much easier to lead said giant horse next to a log or stump, step up quickly and into the saddle and off we go. A couple of days of this and around the campfire one night I was gifted the Arapahoe name of "Tallstump". I don't use the name regularly (except in Araphoe land) except with those who have heard the story.

One of the absolutely best high backcountry trips I have ever taken by the way. Gorgeous scenery, bugling elk and the fishing was fantastic!

Just go with whatever your buddies make fun of you for. My friends call me MacGyver because my hair always looks bad (thats why I cut it all off), and I'm always trying to make something.
    God Bless,
