    Count me in

I'm still getting gear together for my first hang (still have to get tree straps/webbing and a tarp), so a winter trip is out for me as well. I'm in NT, too, so any of those locations work for me.

This is relavent to my intrests..... I live in western new york, and have been longing to get some hangtime in with some more experinced hangers... If its gonna be a winter hang, as other have mentioned, car camping would be ideal for those of us who arnt completely set up.... like my self..

Hey 556, we are neighbors. I am out in the piney woods two weekends a month, so if you ever would like to get out there, let me know. Most time is spent in the adks. Are you on the hammock forums google map?

What is the hammock forum google maps you speak of?... I too hang in the ADKs.. I only make it up there once a year though for a week, work takes up all my free time in the summer, so winter camping is something i need to get into..

Going down to Rock City with my daughter for some hanging during spring break. How is it down there? Looks like a really nice place for exploring.

The Bushcraft forum is conducting a gathering at April 13-15 at Allen Lake State Forest. Many of the members there are also on this forum, but we'd like to open it to all the hammock forum members nearby.

If interested, sound off. Further details as to exact location to follow.

Hey guys, a shout out to you from Toronto,

This Western NY hang sounds very interesting and I have to say, the thought of hooking up with the Bushcraft Forum sounds like a great idea. Do you have a link to their thread?

We've got a pretty active group of hangers up here north of the border, what with our EGL canoeing, snowshoeing and just plain old car camping hangs. It would definitely be great to meet some new faces. After all, it was pretty cool back in January to meet Crash after he had driven all the way from New Jersey just to hang out with us for a night. (Now there's a nutter!!)

    Their thread is at: http://www.bushcraftusa.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=59774

Be nice if some of you guys and gals from up north could come visit. Allen Lake is approx. 2 hours SE of Niagara Falls. Just east of Belfast, NY. Go to Belfast, cross over the Genesee River and then turn left on the other side. It'll take you right up to the lake.

Hey guys I am the one trying to organize the meet over at BushcraftUSA for WNY. I have been a member here for a little while just never posted. Fairly new to hammock use, just got an ENO DN last summer.
