    1.7DBL bottom insulation?

Has anyone tried putting one of the polartec windproof materials between the bottom layers of a Blackbird?

If so, what were your results?

If not, and you've thought deeply about it, what "cons" have you discovered?

    TIA!!

    Never used the windproof variety,

but the standard polartec seems to make an acceptable insulation pad for warmer weather in my 1.7 double. Depending on the weight (200, 300) it ought to take you to ......... maybe freezing?

I wonder if the wind blocking variety would be any better than the standard type, as the nylon fabric acts as a wind-blocking layer too.
