    A Thanksgiving recycle

My bright ideas are few and far between, hence my limited number of posts... but its a perfect time to share one. Last year I salvaged the net mesh bag that our Thanksgiving turkey came in and found it made a great bishop bag for my homemade hammock. Its the perfect size to keep my hammock, suspension, bugnet and straps in. I imagine the regulars on this forum can think of a large number of uses for these lightweight bags.

Note: when opening the bag use some pliers to remove the metal tie rather than cutting with a knife. The bag comes out about 18 inches long, a good size bag for many uses.

I wonder if it would attract "critters". I don't know that you would be able to completely get the turkey smells out. Good thinking though.

I use the mesh bags I get from oranges (no turkey for me this year, but plenty of oranges!) as scrubbers for my dutch oven. But you've set the mental gears awhirl...
