    The rings would be more secure if you make a continuous loop feed it through the end channels of the hammock and either larkshead or even better prussik the other end of the continuous loop around both rings. This will keep them together better and prevent one ring from sliding into the other when pulled by the webbing. Using a biner of some kind on the tree end would be handy for set up as bindibadgi mentioned so you can leave the suspension attached to the hammock when setting up. Not necessary but convenient. Down the road you may want to get some descender rings as they are stronger.

    Yes, sorry all. My description of the way I would attach the rings to the hammock was not the best. I guess the easiest way to explain would be 2 loops, one small containg the rings, and one larger that would be attached to the hammock. the 2 loops would be on the same, say 7-8" length of webbing.

    Make sure the loop containing the two rings is tight around the rings.
