Have acquired a used McCat Deluxe tarp. How can one tell by looking, what material the tarp is made from? Thanks in advance.

If it doesn't leak water when you touch it, it's Spinn.
Trust nobody!
I've only seen spinn once but it had grid lines running in it. My silnylon doesn't. Although I do have have some nylon with fairly prominant grid lines in it, it's not waterproof. Spinn is also lighter than silnylon. I would think you could go to the web site and see what's listed as the weight's of each tarp and then weigh your's.
Please take all this with a grain of salt as I'm only repeating stuff I've been told and I really don't know for sure since I don't own any spinn.

The SpinnUL I was using has a much larger ripstop pattern, about 1/2" lines in the material. Silnylon has much smaller 1/4" ripstop.
Thanks for all the replies. I think it is silnylon.
Also, if you want to shoot me an email of either the fabric or the tarp setup, I'll be able to tell you just from that. I guess that's what I get for handling thousands of yards of fabric...*facepalm*
Fixin' to send some pics. Thanks!
Identified by the maker as silnylon. Thanks Brian!
