WTB: boilerwerks backcountry boiler or vargo ti woodstove

I'm looking for a boilerwerks backcountry boiler or a vargo ti woodstove. Will consider other lightweight wood burners as well. Bored with alcohol and looking to experiment a bit for winter trekking (snow melt).

Pm or post price shipped to 07621 (will pay with paypal).

    Cheers and thank you,
    - Jay

I'd like to get the Ti Emberlit, and then I'd also probably end up getting the Boilerwerks.

Both look very... AWESOME (haha - doesn't everyone just love that word?)

I don't think the boilerwerks would suit for melting snow- the hole is only 1.5", if that much.. have you looked at the gargriller? or similar? NNomad? these are a bit heavier, but sturdy and feed-able for longer burn times. just my .02$ KM

+1 on Kermegan's recommendation. I have a Backcountry Boiler and love it (it's my favorite piece of kit actually), however, you would struggle to put snow in its small opening.

If you are looking to melt lots of snow I'd say go with a white gas stove like the MSR's. Better for cold wet weather IMO. If you are just melting a little bit, as KerMegan said the Backcountry boiler would be more difficult with that task. For wood burning stoves check out the Emberlit, the Gargriller or even the Bushbuddy.

Please keep this WTB thread focused on the transaction, rather than stove recommendations.

Oops, my apologies. I was just going in the direction of the OP request for other considerations.
To the OP, good luck with acquiring what you seek.

I've offered jay_nj a Littlbug Jr; I too don't think the Boilerwerks is right for melting snow.

I really want to thank you guys for informative and sincere responses. I looked a little more into form and function and I do believe you guys were 100% correct in the backcountry boiler being a no-go for the snow melt idea. On the other hand, there is something intriguing about the bcb and for that alone i am still interested in acquiring one (just not for the original intent and purpose).

I am still considering a woodburner for this winter (ie: littlebug jr. as grizz has graciously offered), just need to delve into efficiency with a small narrow ti cup as I don't want to have to purchase another for the few times i will head out.
