My last trip on the AT before I left for the west coast... spent the whole time hearing about others seeing bears and saw none myself. Yeah we tried to stay away so the little cub didn't get used to humans. We actually chased off a few people in a car that wanted to feed the little guy. They didn't understand that the bear could get put down b/c of humans.

Is Dutch in the custom sheath business now? I may need to get in touch with him for a shoulder-sheath for my Bowie.

I don't know if he's officially "in the business" but I knew I needed some custom metal work to modify the sheath... my first thought was Dutch- the ultimate innovator!
