    power pro hollow ace?

I've been looking around for some spectra line for guy lines. Has anyone tried power pro hollow ace? You can get a 100 yard spool for under $30 in 200# test. That figures out to about $0.09/ft. It's spliceable fishing line but I don't see weight or diameter so I was hoping someone had tried it.

Also would this be a bad idea for a ridgeline? I read something about only needing 150# for ridgelines.

I highly recommend a reflective line such as Kelty Triptease, Lawson Glowire, or the Niteize guyout line for your tieouts. If I recall, these are all spectra core line with a doublebraided dacron sheath.

For my tarp ridgeline I like to use Dynaglide, or Lawson Ironwire. The breaking strength is overkill until it has to hold up a few inches of snow along with your tarp.

I was king of guessing that it wouldn't be great for a ridge line, but I figured I would check.

Personally I'm not terribly worried about the reflective lines as I usually make them short with reflective loop on tarp and glow coat the stake heads. The glow wire is incredibly light so the weight savings won't be huge, but every bit helps. I guess I'm still contemplating it, it is cheap.

It's not 0.09 but Scott at DIY Gear Supply has tech line that many use for tarps and tie downs. DIYGearSupply
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
