    So Jeremy,

    Congradulations!

What's with the fabrics? Did you ask for them special or did you mail Adam & Jenny some fabric to have them use?

I hadn't considered it, but it might be worth it to get a custom one out of Pertex if it was easy to get...

I ordered the fabrics from the dealers and had them mailed to Hammock Gear. I wanted to cut down the weight. I know I could have saved more had I went with Momentum 55 for the outer shell or even SevenD, but both cost about $20 more per yard than the M90 did.

I am loving the weight savings and the warmth these are putting out. I will be taking them on a trip very very soon and will post a full trip report, including a review, then.

67" instead of the advertised 74".

I also opted for the sewn foot box. I am very happy I went that route. I couldn't have standed the snaps and a gap for cool air.

I just got mine a couple days ago.

Impressed with how light it was and with the fit and finish. At first I thought it was the 40*F but after I weighed it I saw that it matched the 20*F specs.

I haven't tried it outside yet but I'm a little skeptical that this will see me comfortably down to 20*F - It's my first down anything so I hope to be proved wrong.

I slept with it on the couch for the last two days and it doesn't seem to be any warmer than just a regular thick blanket.

    Hoping it works out.

Looking at the HG website, I would have expected that using lighter fabrics would have ended up with a lighter UQ, I'm wondering if others are noticing a difference in weight compared to the HG site. Unless I went with more down? I do notice that My UQ has draft tubes on either side...hmm. Curious.

Boy them some pretty looking quilts. Sure to keep you warm and cozy. As for the weight did you get over stuff? That would add a couple ounces. I personally notice a difference with the lighter material. The 50 rated burrow has a weight of 13.2 ounces where as my 50 rated burrow (7D) weights 8.7 ounces. I also have a 50 rated Phoenix no draft collars weighing 8.7 ounces (7D/M55). So having draft collars will add a a bit of weight. And from what I understand Stormcrow is just starting to putting draft collars on his 20 and 0 rated UQ. I got them on my new UQ quilts to come. If you don't mind me asking what do your quilts weigh in comparison to the HG website. Just curious. Enjoy them quilts.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Yep on the draft collars. I contacted Adam & Jenny and they said that I'd have them! I don't mind the extra couple of oz's to cut out on the air movement.
