Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving

Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.

There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.

    Count me in too!

Hard to beleive that Thanksgiving is almost come and gone once again. You know I've really thought about what am I really thankful for this year. I guess there is always the default family, friends, health and home. Don't get me wrong I thank the good lord above for all of those blessings everyday.

As I sit here and watch my kids and family enjoy themselves today, something struck me. There are a whole rash of things that I don't have that I am indeed thankful for. I don't have to worry about someone coming to my door and carting me off to jail at gun point because I'm of the wrong religion. I don't have angry rioters in the street buring the neighborhood to the ground. I can come and go as I please for the most part. I don't have to fear speaking my mind, and I have the freedom to join in the discourse of ideas in a wonderful palce like this.

It made me reflect on why I don't have these things. I don't have these things because there are a lot of soldiers, sailers, and airmen who do things that they may not like to do to protect my family and I from these things. Many of them are thousands of miles away from family and friends over the holidays doing things that most of us can not imagine.

FOR THAT WE ARE TRULY THANKFUL!

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS, WHO ARE PUT IN HARMS WAY FOR US!

    pax,
