    IDK I thought the temp rating is the same with an 800 fill and a 900 fill just takes less 900 fill to get that rating.

    You are right as far as i understand it. the difference was that they never changed the fill amounts - the 20 degree TQ was 12oz of 800 or 900. the 900 gave a slight increase in temp as well as slight decrease in weight.

    I am beginning to lean more toward synthetic insulation. Its so humid in the SE where i hike that down is seeming less and less a good choice. Recently was in the Grayson highland/Mt Rogers area and was literaly sleeping in the clouds. I'll take the extra weight, the rest of my gear is sul anyway.

    makes sense my rHR is 52-53 and I'm wearing wool under my slacks here at work.....maybe some cheap speed to increase the heart rate?

    There website used to say subtract -5 degrees for the 900fill, but with all insulation i think it varies and/or will be close to the same.
