    My First DIY Hammock!

Over thanksgiving I made a channel end hammock, tree straps, and a pair of whoopie slings! All of these projects were a first for me! I ended up getting the amsteel through the PIF thread on here and the material for the tree straps and hammock I picked up from SR Harris for about $20!

This was the first time setting it all up together and testing it out. I'm pretty darned pleased with how it all came out. The video is more for amusement rather then any educational value and I also shot and edited the video from my phone while laying in my hammock during this trip I would like to add a ridge line, but for now I'm happy

My advice for anyone thinking about making their own hammock..... DO IT! I was so amazed at how easy it was! The real kicker..... I like it better than my expensive HH!

    Great job!
There are very few problems we can solve ourselves, but there is almost nothing we cannot solve together.

Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.

Good job...What park were you at again? SR Harris is still 50percent off on all fabric...I picked up my mesh for a bugnet on my DIY...

This is at Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI. As far as I know SR Harris is always 50% off their marked price
