Hello fellow outdoors lovers! My name is Matt, I live in Sturgeon Bay Wi. I have been backpacking for about 14 years and absolutely love being outdoors. Every night that I have spent in the backwoods has been on the ground. After watching several YouTube videos about using a hammock while backpacking I realized something. YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO CAMP!! I would love to give this a try, but it is difficult to know where to start.

Please help...

Welcome Matt. Have a look in the video section for Shugs 10 part series on everything you wanted to know about hammocking. Good place to start. Also there is a new book on the market put out by one of the members and its a very good book. "The Ultimate Hang".

Welcome Matt! Plenty of great people here to learn from and check out Shugs vids if you haven't already.

Keep an eye out for some hangs, it's a good way to meet other hammockers and get an idea of the gear you'll see on here, in person.
