Been a dozen or so times out there - it's beautiful. We were just out there 2 weekends ago.

Bushwhacking the creek is quicker and quite a bit easier, but doesn't afford the views like you mentioned.

Great pics, looks like you had a fun time.
Yeah, the east side of the creek is pretty easy going but we knew we wanted to camp on the west side so we didn't cross. The bushwhacking on the west side is a bit more steep, and the darkness didn't help much either.

Minister Creek was my very first backpacking trip EVER... back when I was 8 or 9 living in a suburb of Pittsburgh, went with my dad and my dog... ah, memories.

    Thanks for the flashback!

They are very rich, deep looking photos. They make me want to dive into one of them and be there. Looks like you’ve had some rain, everything seems to be alive and extra well. Good idea for tying 3 sticks together. That might come in handy one day.

Thanks Bruciehi. We were all a little surprised at how green some things still were, like the ferns etc. They had def. had some rain recently, getting a fire going was a bit tough.

Thank you very much, it was the first go with that style of tripod, I really liked the cross bar and the ability to hang multiple pots.

I must have been lagging behind since I just saw your thread! Minister Creek is in my neck of the woods, ( I actually work about 10 min drive from there). Hope you can make the winter hang up the road from there this feb!
