    Internal structural ridgeline

Making a HH clone vaguely along the lines of Headchange4u's: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php?t=670

Just having a little bit of trouble visualising how an internal structural ridgeline will work (ridgeline under the bugnet). I'm not crazy about Hc4u's cord ball and loops through the whipping as I could see this failing if I don't do it right. What other options are there?

I've seen other people create small holes for the ridgeline to go through such as http://bushcraftusa.com/forum/showpost.php?p=561952

Obviously this wouldnt be completely bugproof - I'm currently considering a small section of velcro at the ends of the bugnet for the ridgeline to go through - which would seal it up a bit better.

Have people got any other better solutions?

I run my ridgeline down the center of the end mass but it make a Brummell or just tie a bowline on each end and loop that over the mass. I don't sew the sides together all the way to the ends which lets me do this.

    A picture may help...

I run my SRL on the outside of my bug netting and tie the net up to the RL. Works fine for me, but then I don't have a HH

thanks Merganser, that was a true slap of the forehead moment for me. all sorted, works great (took your advice).

in terms of hooking the net up to the ridgeline - I thought about that but didnt want to add clips or velcro or anything like that. the less sewing the better for me!
