Exclamation muh first DYI hammock setup

howdy all, i just wanted to post my rig and see what kinda feedback from the pros. I just started sewing via machine this year. I've always done hand stitched patchwork like bags and such, but i've switched to homemade camp gear.
The hammock body is made out of ripstop with built in bug net. The zipper snagged from an old sleepingbag. The homemade underquilt is made outta some quilt batting and a windshield visor the hammock sock is silnylon bottom and breathable poly top. The tarp is one of my first projects, and the sewing shows it. My next one will be more stealth ready. I don't know, let me know what ya think

VERY nice start. Beware...DIYing is addictive, but you get a lot of great gear.

tell me about it! I'm lookin into getting some IX for an underquilt. Its getting a little too chilly for my $7 hobby lobby batting. I did find a couple down coats at the local thrift store... Could maybe gut em and make an quilt?

Wish i could help. In my tropical setting I havent experienced cbs yet and decide the need for an UQ. Although I'm checking local shops for materials availability before i venture in this project just in case.
