I have a Byer Vario hammock stand for my indoor hangs. I've been thinking about putting eyebolts in the walls, though. CINCHOUSE has been very...lukewarm, we'll say...to the idea, so I think it might affect my allowance if I do it without permission. Right now she's still telling me, "Do whatever you want." Which, as every married man knows, means exactly the opposite of what it sounds like it means.
    Jeff,

Are you converting any of the Zoomies into hangers?

You did put a bug in my head and its been buzzing all day. I think I can set up in
my garage. Man is my wife gonna be mad at you.

Any thoughts on angling the eyebolt holes?

    I run 260-270 atm so I may try a 2x6 instead

I just set up in my basement garage. For the head end I used an existing hole that was drilled in the floor joist. I strung webbing through the hole twice and tied a water knot. Used a beaner on that. The other end is hooked to a heavy eyebolt that is in the steel beam. It was all ready there as well.

Oh it is ... LOL we are the same way it's more like 5-6 feet for us but the last few years PA is like the PNW ... it rains non stop for days so the water table is really high... like it is now.. we had rain for 4 days non stop.. now it turned to snow go figure
i was thinking of setting up the same setup in mine as well since it's cold in there i can test cold weather gear without needing to go outside since my garage is right there ( door is next to the sewing machine)

I did... but i didn't after all.. the force is being pulled down more than it is to the side and the board is SOLID so i don't see it working it's way free ... i also have washers on the eye bolt too there oversized to cover more area so there is a buffer

Dang it, I new insulating my garage was going to bite me in the butt one day. On the other hand it was 35 this morning and some where in the 50's in my garage.
