    Welcome!

Great to have you with us! I also found ground camping to be very hard on the back. My hammock is so much more comfortable.
I know the feeling at the start. The forums can be a bit of an overload at first, with all the great ideas, techniques and info. That's partially what's so awesome about it all is the huge variety of different approaches that work.
But it can be kept really simple at the start as well. During good weather I enjoyed hanging in my gathered end hammock I sewed myself with only some ratchet strap webbing for suspension. It gets more complicated as you get into wet and colder weather. I'm also really into the DIY and have made almost everything I'm using now.
If you haven't see any yet, check out the series of videos by Shug, which are crazy funny and hugely informative.

Thanks for the warning Peanuts,I know better BUT seems like the older I get the more the dreaded malady CRS come's on !
Looks like I might have company this summer, the boys from "The North Country Fair" surely wouldn't want to leave their "Winter Wonder Land" right now.
All kidding aside the welcome sign is always out. Theres so much for the hanger, backpacking, just hiking, fishing, kayaking or tubing on the river just being out doors. the Hiwassee river is 4 miles from the door, we are in the Cherokee national forest, Gee Creek state park is right down the road. I could go on and on.
I'll post a pict. of the wood tent with the tin roof and screened porch soon.
Is there a way to private message someone on the forum ?

    Enjoyed all the posts.
    Thanks
    Mike

Welcome from Greensboro, NC. Eastern TN is beautiful and should provide you with some awesome hangs. I have been thinking about doing some MC camping and using my ENO...sounds like great way to incorporate two things i love.

Hey there cc. Greetings and welcome to the site.
I am originally from the mountains of west North Carolina.
I also have an eno double nest.
But, I am unsure if I could sleep with two people in it.
