Actually, I see some benefit to this. I'm in the process of healing from another back injury. The position of the hammocker (?) is basically the position my physical therapist has me doing when pain/numbness is going down my leg. This helps relieve the pressure on the nerve that is causing the discomfort.
It's like up dog without all that work!
