NX-250 with HG Incubator = challenge

Got my new Hammock Gear full-length zero deg Incubator a little over a week ago (thanks Adam and Jenny for great service) and hae been attempting to graft it to the 250.

So far, less than stellar results. The hoop anchor webbing prevents the suspension from pulling the UQ up against the hammock. My 3/4 length UQ can have its suspension routed above the anchor webs, but the full length UQ is too long to fit between the head and foot web anchor pockets. I even tried "inchworming" the UQ to shorten its length, but stiill I found air gaps.

When I have some spare time I am going to modify the hoop attachment pockets, essentially creating new ones that are located at the same level as the lower ends of the fabric hoop tunnels. If that fails I can always ditch the hoops for the winter months and suspend the canopy from the tarp ridgeline as some of the NA models do. But I will miss the roominess.

    More to come.

I just went from the NX to the NA model because the poles were aggravating me too.

    I also have a 3/4 3-S HG UQ

I have only used it into the 40s, but it kept me toasty. I kept the pockets unloaded and snugged the UQ up quite tightly.

No further testing of my full length UQ since my original post - too busy and holidays interfered.
