How do my apartment eyebolts look?

Just finished a little projects adding some eyebolts to my apartment so that I can easily hang in the living room. One corner is the bolts, the other is a big heavy metal door hinge (which, I believe, rhymes with orange).

I'd love to hear some feedback or suggestions. There are a bunch of pictures, so I put up a page on my site about it that you can view here:

Somebody on yahoo had the whole door frame come crashing down on him and his daughter, and he ended up with stitches. It'll be pretty funny to have the bolts/hinge stay connected to the frame...but have to open the door to get out of the hammock, as it lays flat on top of you like in a cartoon.

Please post videos instead of pics for this one...

If I get flattened, I'll just re-inflate myself by blowing into my thumb, like Elmer Fudd used to.

Yeah - we used to have our own version of that when I was younger. Since you know we'll be making fun of you, you can put that one on the video, too.

I wonder what my wife would say if I put bolts in the Livingroom door frame?

Cool pics. When I finally get my own place I am planning on putting a hammock stand indoors. Right now I share a place with my college roommate. I don't think he would like it very much.

Other than a bed and dresser it will be the only furniture I own.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

My son wants a hammock in his room, but there's no way I can put eyebolts in the new house. I think I'm gonna get him a loft bed and hang it diagonally underneath. Might have to add a reinforcement along the hammock's ridgeline to keep the bed from deforming, but it should work.

He also wants an Army room. He's killing me with this Army thing...I keep telling him Air Force but he just won't listen. And it's even worse since we're in an Army town.

My son (4 years old) has been sleeping every night in his hammock sence Thanksgiving. I made a loft bed a year or two a go and then hung the hammock after one of the kids got sick, so we had to go "camping" in the house, he has not let me take it down yet. I looped the rope over the bed and connected it to the other end of the hammock to help drive the load back into the hammock rather then the bed, so I have had no problems with the bed deforming. I take naps in it all the time with one of the kids.
