Well the title pretty much gets it. Noticed there are a lot of Missouri and Kansas folks here, but didn't see a hang. Is there one?

There are a couple of us in the KC area talking about a hang here in the area. Got a few more folks that might come down. You have any suggestions for time or place?
I have a weird schedule (I'm a firefighter) so about any week end I have one day off every third I have both off. Have a Jan 20-21 Boyscout camp out. I would be interested in coming to one. Lots of state parks around what did you guys have in mind?
If ur interested in going alittle south, we have one in north Arkansas mid March. this year will be around March 10th. will post at end of year
I'm interested in a Kansas or Missouri hang. North east Kansas or Northwest Missouri preferred.

Latest discussion was looking at the west side of Clinton Lake, Lawrence. I have paperwork at home on the park. I don't have winter gear past a pad so really under 40 is out for me.
OK...in an effort to pin this down a bit...
I've camped several times at the Woodridge Public Use area. The gates are closed off-season, so parking will be outside the gates, and the well will probably be shut off as well so it would be a "bring your own water" run.
But I do know that it's open to public use year 'round, and I've hung there several times and verified with the park rangers via phone that hammocks are fine as along as they use straps that don't tear up the trees.
And...it's FREE!
It's not super simple to find, but worth the drive.
I'd like to suggest we plan on hitting there some weekend.
There is about 5-6 miles of trails that we can hike around the park. No real elevation challenges...just a nice woodland walk.
So...let's talk dates.
I'm gonna suggest sometime after the holidays...mid-Jan? I'd be good for pretty much any weekend if we plan in advance.
How about the weekend of Jan 14-15?
