Greetings from Florida

Hey there!

Since my hammock finally arrived in the mail, I thought I would finally introduce myself. I am coming to you from Gainesville, Florida; though I came here by way of Michigan

I have been lurking around this site for a while, absorbing all of the information, and reviews, and decided to finally purchase my first hammock last week.

I bought an ENO DoubleNest with slap straps, and I am very eager to try it out. I thought it would be a great entry level hammock, and since my girlfriend and I are doing a camping/hiking/backpacking trip in Michigan's Upper Peninsula next year, I thought it would be a great addition to camp. And a nice escape from tent once she starts snoring.

welcome from ga, via chicago!! congrats on your purchase, but get rid off the slap straps, they will stretch!!! as well as to get rid of the the rope and steel biner it came with....check out shugs videos....and ask questions.

Stretch? What do you mean stretch?

What would you suggest as an alternative to the slap straps?

I love Shug's videos. I made sure to watch them all a while ago. I definitely need to re watch them.
