    Modified Hennessy Hammock Help Needed

After several years of experimenting with different cost effective solutions to staying warm in a Hammock I purchased Hennessy's Super Shelter. A bit cumbersome but I definitely slept snug as a bug down to 30 degrees on top of Cheoah Bald in late April. After my first trip I decided to Sew the Super Shelter to the hammock to eliminate many of the challenges with the Super Shelter, and for the most part it is awesome but... I have created one problem and I am not sure how to fix. I now trap moisture between the Hammock and the Super shelter and without giving it ample time to dry it just stays wet. I spent two weeks on the AT in May and it wasn't a big problem but it was wet every morning. Any ideas on how to cure?

Not sure how you sewn on the SS but my first thought was you have it toooo tight and it does not let out the heat if needed. My first trial would be to see a tab near the locations of the hammock pull out. Then with 1/8 inch shock cord pull the sides out to give a 1 inch gap while yo lay in it. This may let some air vent and take moister out.

Just one question? Is the moisture between the foam and the hammock or the foam and the ss

You need a way for air to flow through your hammock and the ss. Whats happening is the moister from your breathing is getting trapped as you sleep/are in your hammock.

Make a few air holes (they dont have to be big) on the ss so the moister has a place to escape and fresh air has a way to get in.
