    Hello From Baytown, TX

Hello! I've been stalking this forum for a short while and made some posts. Then I realized that I haven't formally introduced myself.

I'm from Baytown, TX. I have 265 days until retirement, but I'm burning down 1230 hours of sick time starting in February. That will give me a lot of free time and I realized that I needed something active to take up that time. I chose hiking and in researching stoves I stumbled across Shug's videos and from watching them I decided sleeping in a hammock sounds much more appealing than on the ground under a tarp. I'm about to by a HH and have a strong desire to try a DIY. John

There's a whole nother world out there. You are about to find it. Congrats on your new position. A change in perspective is just about to happen. I hope to see you one day in the piney woods.

My first hammock was a Hennessy. They are fine hammocks. I use more DIY stuff now-a-days, but it's all good.

Welcome to HF from Bama............enjoy the time relaxing in your new hammock and beware of the DIY bug, it can be very addictive.
