    Headed out tomorrow

As soon as I get out of work tomorrow I'm hitting the trail. Hiking from Marquette to St. Ignace along the North Country Trail, across Michigan's Upper Penninsula. I figure it will take about two weeks, including a few side hikes and a bit of beach bumming. Also may have to detour and hike the shoreline if the trail gets too swampy (we're still dealing with alot of snowmelt up here). The nice thing about being an unnatached college student is not having to hold yourself to a plan or schedule.
This is my first long trek with the hammock, really looking foreward to it. I also talked a friend of mine who is doing the first three days with me into buying one too. I'll take picks and report back in a few weeks.

Have fun and be safe. Happy hanging.

Yup, may be a cold wet hike through a swamp. Not supposed to get above 50 all week and a chance of snow tonight. Snow in May, gotta love the UP.

Here are some pics from the Bald Eagle State Forest campsite. I head back there on Friday for the weekend. If anyone wants to join me just let me know.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
