More details 2nd annual PA Hang

Here is a video of the tanabark trail in the Allegheny National Forest . I plan on trying to scout the area in january. Scott explains it is kind of steep terrain. I hope to find an area that we can all hang and is suitable for pulk and shoes . If not the tanabark trail itself scott has a place real close nearby that is on the level terrain for safer navigation. I am waiting till the poll is over but so far the weekend of Feb 17th , 18th and 19th is what people are wanting Poll ends new years day. I am looking forward to thoughts ideas etc.

I went up with Jim and Dave and looked around the area. They decided they liked the Hickory Creek Wilderness trail, at least for the night. I went a lil ways back the trail with them and I liked the trail, Iam sure Jim and Dave will know more tomorrow after spending the night out there. It was beautiful out there today with the snow falling. Hope those guys stay warm out there. Here are the coordinates for my camp. If you like you can put them into google and the map will take you right to it. Set it for satellite view and you can zoom in on trail areas. I will look up the trail head numbers as well. 41.678744,-79.182454

Some more info on hickory creek wilderness area, I found a short write up on a winter trip on this trail, see it here, http://www.adventurematters.com/tranf.htm
Here is a winter video taken on the same trail,

And finally here are the coordinates to close to the trail head, if you google map it and go to sat view, zoom in tight and head back on the road a short distance you can make out the trail on the map. a lot of work I know but if your ambitious with your puter take a peak.
