Lots of good folks around here.

Good call Dejoha, its always a pleasure to hang out here. Lots of fine people around, and well moderated. I fall into the "hour after hour" category and spend entirely too much time here, but there it just so many excellent ideas here, always something new, and again, great people.
Good luck,

Our ability to play nice with one another is definitely one of those things that makes us the go to source for all things hammocking. Occasionally we get someone that doesn't want to get along with others for whatever reason, but it's usually dealt with pretty quickly by the Mod Squad. I think folks realize that foolishness, buffoonery and chilidish beharior just won't be tolerated here. Many thanks to you guys for what you do!

Whew, for a brief moment I thought the negative reference was for those of us who live in the lower peninsula of Michigan. We are often referred to as "Trolls" by those living in the upper peninsula because we live "under the bridge."
I too agree that there is a degree of civility here that brings many and keeps most as part of the community. I value and appreciate that. Moderators do a great job of reminding us of and instilling in us those traits necessary to achieve such. I have learned much from this forum, not just about hammocks, but that when there is a common tenant or focus, much of what would be otherwise polarizing is not relevant. I have made friends here that were it not for the common thread of hanging, I most likely would not have known. I like that, it makes me a better person.

I agree. Thank you moderators and fellow community members for keeping things friendly and at times agreeing to just disagree, and then just moving forward. Have a safe and happy holidays to everyone!
I agree with everything said above and will second the motion for post of the day!!!!

Hurray for HF it is a live breathing dynamic entity and has become my refuge from the everyday drudgery. I come here as often as possible to interact with like minded people and just recharge my internal batteries.
