    STL + Line-Locs = Guyline Heaven

Man, I love the JRB STLs (Self Tensioning Lines)http://www.jacksrbetter.com/STLs.htm. I've learned to replicate them myself with zing-it, zap straps, theraband tubing (green), and even some shrink tubing to clean up the loop knot. Just yeterday I figured out how to use the line-locs (thought they looked stupid but I figured they were cheap so I'd try some). Together these make the perfect tie-out system ever. Lose the Nite-Ize products (knotbones and Figure 9s). This combination means light weight, fast set up, no knotting, secure set up, quick adjust, and the highest visibility (yellow line, green tube, glow in the dark line-loc could be used to signal search planes).

Thanks JRB, thanks Hammock Forums Store!

I laugh at the wind and rain!

I'm currently sorting out my whole set up & use line lok/clam cleats on tarp ridge & guy lines.

For the ridgeline I leave the 2nd reeve & securing knot out so the line can be taken around the tree (the cleat is free to run & place where you want along the line) then reeve pull through extra line & put in slippery hitch. This is fairly easy & makes it quite adjustable but would be quicker with practice. I've only rigged it up twice, I'm very green

Great setup, I've been using STLs with the Micro Line Loc Guy Line Adjusters on my tie-outs for years and love them. (Of course someone always gives me flak, "just use a knot, it's lighter!)

I recently switched from figure 9s to the Ultra Light Tarp Ridge Line Cords, the Dutch Flyz and the in combo with the locked brommel are a huge upgrade in ease of use!

For my ridgeline I use 2 Tarp Flyz. I toyed with one Tarp Flyz and one Dutch Hook, but prefer the adjustability and simplicity of just 2 Flyz.
