    Well I did it..

    I purchased this machine used from the local sewing machine shop. I will start playing with it later this week.

    My wife has a Janome.... it is a workhorse. Excellent quality machine.

    Good luck with it. After you get a hang of it you'll find yourself coming up with ideas for gear.

    I have a Janome also. Have had no problems so far. Got one in the Sewist Series, also a value machine.

    You can send the orders, but I have not even figured out how to sew a straight line yet. I am pretty proud of myself though, it only took me 30 minutes to figure out how to thread the damned thing!!! It may take a year before I make any gear if the learning curve continues like this!!!LOL!!!

    If you have anyone with sewing machine experience I strongly urge you to ask them to show you, or give you pointers. Also, maybe check your library for books to help you. Just take your time and you'll get it. Only way to learn and get better is to do it.
