Thanks for the mini review and pictures. Looks pretty big. I wonder what it'll look like with a hammock in the middle of it. Do you seam seal both sides of the seam with the spray?

It's not the norm for most people, but I do seal both sides of a seam. I'll probably only do the ridge line seam and the area around the beaks.

I could see this tarp type being good for use with the scouts. Do you have any more pics?

I've got a few more hours before I can check the mail at home. Oh well... at least I have your pictures to look at.

No more pics yet. I'll post some as soon as I can get out to properly set it up.

Pan told me when I saw the first prototype, at the very first Mt Rogers hang out, that it would have the room to sleep 1 hanger and 2 ground dwellers. The area under the tarp is easily big enough to fit a group that size. It could hold 1 hanger and a few smaller children. With no hammock it would easily sleep 3-4 adults or an adult and smaller kids. You could even use it as a covered area for a small group. It would be great for scouting

If someone was sleeping on the ground, I would bring a ground cover of some sort. I have envisioned it with a large Tyvek ground cloth.

Maybe with a rolled hem on all sides of the Tyvek groundcloth/footprint and grommets or nylon loops to stake it down with? Not that I'd know anything about that sort of thing. 'Cause I don't. Really.

Thanks for the pics and mini-review. I'm looking forward to seeing it at RRG. That thing is huge! It makes my SWAT look like I should be huddled up under it, praying that the wind doesn't blow the rain in. Very cool birthday gift if ever there was one.

My wife just called and said that a package from JRB had just arrived. So looks like I'll have my JRBHH to check out when I get home. Whoohoo!

I've got some SilNet I picked up from somewhere. I hopefully can hang it in basement to seal it with that and let it dry over the next day or so.

Today is also my 15th wedding anniversary, so I'll only get to take a quick look at this thing before heading out again with dinner reservations. Some things are more important, I suppose.

Cool deal, NCP. Have fun at dinner and happy anniversary to you and Mrs. NCP.
