Ok....so I've been gone from the forums for awhile....
Actually I do pop in but the shear volume of posts these days is amazing.
I knew about whoopies
But the single line tarp ridge line is something I didn't know y'all were doing.
I like it!
At any rate, has anyone done the same with the hammock? I see Jeff has something like it above in a sticky.
How about one end clipped on the tree (no whoopie or cinch), then the line runs through the ends of the hammock to the other end where it is attached to the other tree with a cinch or a whoopie.
To 'fix' the ridgeline, there would be 'stops' on the inside where the line hits the ends.
However, I think it would take some practice to get the correct ballpark tautness (angles) of the ridge line before setting the stops. Then the whoopie/cinch could be used for minor adjustments.
Clear as mud?
Dumb as a stump?
