Yep, That's what I do. I took a seam ripper and to the strap off though. Even gonna add a bag like that to my next custom hammock because it's so handy.

I still have and use mine on both a SN and DN. I use the webbing too as I don't count grams and like the way it compresses to such a compact size.

+ 1--first thing I did on my ENO style hammock. It just didn't make sense to me, since you don't furl a hammock up from BOTH sides towards the center! You start at one end and work your way to the other. (at least, I do) Granted, it would have been a handy gear storage pocket! So there's that... . HYOH!!!!

I still have the bag attached with the straps cut off on my ENO.

I still have the bag attached to my Nano 7.

I did cut the bag off my Kammock. That bag is overkill.

I kept mine on. But as far as the packing - I always pack from the center out, and the ends are the last to go in. Really easy to deploy. And the wind chill cover works great with keys, small rocks, whatever.

How do you keep your hammock off the ground?

Still on both of them ... been meaning to remove the straps but ... I get distracted easily ... and too lazy to do it if I've actually got the hammock out and laying in it!

Take one end off, go to middle, stuff until ends, take other end off. Piece of cake.

I still have mine on. It is really nice to hold misc items. Plus, that is one less stuff sack I have to pack because it has its own.
