Does a longer hammock give a flatter lay?

I made my sleep at home hammock 11' long I am only 5'7" and I sleep oh so cozy. and flat any which direction I lay.

Generally;
Wider=flatter
Longer= less shoulder squeeze

I have a DIY hammock that is nearly 6' wide and 12' long. It is very flat and no squeeze at all, but as a gathered end hammock the sides are floppy. Other than that I love it. I could post a pic if someone could tell me how to get it off of my iPhone and onto this forum.

use the Tapatalk app. my iPhone suggested it when i tried going to the hf website.

+1 on what Beast says. Got my XL hammock from Papa Smurf and couldn't agree more. 11.5 long and 6 ft wide from 1.9 dbl rip stop. Couldn't get more comfortable if I tried! Check out my other post with pics.
