I've noticed a rip in my tree straps for my HH. I've only set it up about 5 times....is it too late to save them? If they can be saved what can I do? The ridge line seems to have cut through the edges.

Call HH. After only 5 hangs, that's clearly a defect. I'm sure they will happily replace them.
That being said, you could always look into a suspension modification. Do some searches in the support systems section for more info.

thanks...I'll check with Hennessy....I'll check for alternatives methods to setting up, but I have to admit that I have a hard time understanding the descriptions sometimes...I'm easily confused

Yeah, talk to Tom -- mine have been in trees hundreds of times and look like they've been used, but no cuts, tears or frays at all. Something weird there.
