    Belated Thanks & Apology

Many Thanks are in order. A couple of years ago I discovered HF.net and knew this whole hanging thing would get me back in the woods doing what I had loved so long ago. I had wanted to start camping with my kids and enjoy the outdoors with them. So I became a donating member and started absorbing a lot of info. I messaged Cannibal and met with him. He gave me a lot of hands on knowledge. I was hooked! I then ordered me and the boy hammocks from Warbonnet because Cannibal invited us to the First Annual Colorado Winter Hang. My son and I accepted and joined lots of new friends. With borrowed TQ and UQ we had a great time freezing and learning.

Sooooo. If it were not for Cannibal and his enthusiasm, generosity, and kindness I would have never started enjoying the outdoors again. Just Jeff. In the early days your website gave me lots of great info to dig deeper in this hammock world. Your help that first night at the Winter Hang was huge. Warbonnet Guy was awesome, not only with the hammocks he made for us but also with helping me get my UQ situated so I wasn't freezing to death. Thanks to all of you!!

My wife and I are missionaries that care for and befriend homeless folks living in Boulder, CO. Because of the economy tanking we lost a lot of our financial supporters...money got ridiculously tight. I was unable to purchase our insulation and the other gear we needed to get out on our own. Coming to the forum became a huge reminder of how much money I DIDN'T have to buy gear. I began to loose hope that I could accumulate all the gear we would need to camp...So I faded away. I've done a poor job of being a good HF friend by being away so long. So, I apologize.

THE GOOD NEWS! We've gotten some $$ together and now are on our way to getting all the gear we need. Today I ordered my HF flag and am getting ready to order our UQ's. I'm back and will continue to be an active part of this amazing forum.

Man I know exactly how you feel about Cannibal. If it wasn't for the welcoming feeling at hangs I wouldn't enjoy camping again. I owe a huge thanks to GLP and Dutch for all the help they have given me. Without them two I might have given up on hanging.

    Welcome back

I was beginning to wonder what happened to you, glad you just went on a mental vacation.

Better get your stuff in order; there seem to be a few Coloradans itching to get out this year. Should be opportunities a-plenty to get out and hang with a group this year. Until I see you at one of the hangs, welcome back friend.

    Thanks everyone.

I just got my TQ in that I bought from an HF member (thanks raisin)! I've ordered our UQ's for warbonnet and my Golite pack came in yesterday. So we are getting there.

So, outside of some small things to purchase and DIY we are about ready for the first semi-warm day to get out.
