    Hammock = Therapy

    Well Last week I pulled a muscle in my rear end and/or my lower back. Either while I was at work, which I can't figure out I only lifted one thing weighting maybe 20 lbs, or in my sleep that night. Thought I almost couldn't walk the next morning when I woke for the necessary. It was 4 am and I had two more hours till I was supposed to be at work. I lay down in my hammock for those two. If I hadn't I would not have made it in to work and the same the next day. The next two days I was off work and I didn't have to do much of anything I took one trip to the chiropractor a little stretching everyday. I took one more day off for good measure. I can say those four days of hammock rest where rehabilitating. I am now good as new.

    No one can ever say a hammock is bad for your back to me ever ever ever again. I think I am now a full time convert. But I have that lingering desire to keep my bed. I am thinking bunk bed style.

    That would be awesome. It would only cost them a couple hundred bucks.

    Last year my doctor advised me to carry less weight to reduce the stress on my hips and exercise more.

    I heard " Blah, blah, buy lighter gear and go on more trips, blah, blah, blah.....

    Should've had him write it down because Smurfette doesn't believe me.

    When my back is tired and stove up and drawn up....I feel the hip-belt of my pack pushing down on my hips and a long hike to a sweet hang spot settles my muscles and fascia down. Then some hammock time seems to relax and heal me up.

    So how would some one prosess a Dr. script for a hammock...?

    I would suggest a Chiropractor for the script except, mine wasn't real happy when I started sleeping in a hammock full-time. Apparently, he didn't like the fact that I stopped going to visit him within a couple of months.

    I have mine situated over my sofa… Perfect place for it! I’m in it right now! I just gotta be real careful when I fall asleep with the laptop in the hammock! The first (and last time) I do that! Luckily it fell to the left and landed on the sofa!
