It's going to be too cold for Kiba to come along. But, she'll be all ready to go in Spring time.

I will be at the Kansas hang but probably won't experience real cold until I get to Minnesota

I understand that lumber is important but by the time my kids start backpacking the SHT will consist of ugly barrin land .
Hope you have fun up there dude. Looking forward to your trip report.

As of right now, we have no snow. But, I'm sure we'll be in the woods and freezing our butts off in the Mn winter really soon.

You know what is worse than freezing your butt off in a snowy forest? Freezing your butt off in a non-snowy forest. But feezing your butt off in a non-snowy forest is still 50x better than staying inside watching TV.

    That's so true.
The weather is implying that there will be snow up there which is great because there is nothing here in the cities right now and my new pair of snowshoes look so lonely in my gear closet.

    Slight change of plans.

Due to the fact that I'm getting over the flu, I am going to camp at Lake Maria State Park instead. It will be a little warmer there and this way the girlfriend said she won't give me a hard time about bringing Kiba.

I am still going Weds-Friday and am going to try and snag campsite B4 as I hear it's a good one.

Kiba and I had an awesome time in the woods. My voice is pretty shot from being sick, so I didn't do much filming last night.

It got down to 24F and I used my new 20F Top Quilt for the first time. Kiba and I were roasting !
Over all, it was a great night out in the woods with the pup and as soon as this silly sick stuff goes away, we'll be back out there.

Haha I threw that in the fire for the photo.

It was a fun night out in the woods. Just wish I wasn't still fighting this dang cold because the SHT with Kiba would have been way more fun.
