The Claytor cult claims a comfortable "flat" lay, but I think they pull things up tighter to get that. The HH thing is flatness through asymmetry, big sag needed for that.

BillyBob has written a lot about the no-net Claytor, 10' long, 4' wide. So one thing you could try with the hammoc you have is a tighter pitch
and a more in-line lay.

If you look at the HH "model comparison" page you get fabric dimensions. The Explorer (which is at the large end, but not the largest) is cut 11' long, 5' wide.

A few people here have made HH clones, maybe a search will dig up the dimensions they used to cut their bags.
