    Howdy from Michigan

Hello Hammock Forums. I've heard lots about this forum and hammock camping in general from the wonderful guys at BushcraftUSA so I decided to join up.

I love being outdoors but one thing I really hate is sleeping on the hard, cold ground. I've been intrigued by the concept of hammock camping for a while but I finally got motivated because I pretty sure Santa is bringing this bad boy a Skeeter Beeter Pro for the Christmas. If he doesn't, I'm building my own.

One major thing that's kept me from taking the leap until now is that I'm a plus sized bushcrafter. Coming in at over 300 lbs I go past the limits on most commercially available EVERYTHING. I'm hoping that there is some much info on here that even my significant needs can be met.

Look forward to lots of great info.

    Thank,

    TUCK

Welcome to you! You are not alone in the plus size department. Comfortable hammock hanging is doable for people of all sizes and shapes.

Welcome aboard from another in the mitten state. Yes I went there Wisconsin.
Plenty of us plus size users here. You'll be able to find something that works for you. You can even check out a bunch of rigs if you make it to one of our hangs.
