Doggonnit! Because of my hammock, I can no longer sleep on the ground.

My Warbonnet is in for repairs so I pulled out my old backpacking tent and sleeping pad for a ten day Christmas kayak trip down the Intra-coastal in South Carolina.

Yesterday afternoon I set off but did not get too far because I wanted to set camp before dark. Ate dinner at dusk and went to bed.

I woke up after an hour then tossed and turned ... no position was comfortable ... until 1:00 AM. By then I knew I couldn't get any more sleep. Breaking camp in the dark, I paddled back to the put-in under the light of the waning moon.

So, now its 4:30 AM and I'm sitting in my car hoping to catch a cat nap before sunrise. Then, first thing, I'm off the Charleston to buy a hammock.

Guess I'm hooked on hanging. I always sleep like a baby in a hammock.
